About Nopalito’s Galería

Read about the history of the gallery.

Nopalitos Galeria

The Nopalitos Galería is an old adobe house built in the late 1800s and is situated on historic Mesquite Street, Las Cruces, New Mexico. Mesquite Street was originally part of the Old Camino Real, the oldest commerce trail in the Americas linking Mexico City to Santa Fe. The Galería is adjacent to the Nopalito’s Restaurant, our family business since 1964.

Grand Opening

The Gallegos Family opened the Nopalito’s Galería in May of 2010 with the vision of providing the community with cultural enrichment through exposure to all types of regional art. More importantly, we believe a strong art and cultural movement on historic Mesquite Street strengthens our economy and community making Las Cruces a better and more interesting place to live.
